#GivingTuesday at the Library
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
How can I give to the library?
- Donate your gently used books and DVD’s when you do a clean-out. Donated books support the bookstore and other yearly programming
- Donate your time by volunteering with the Friends of the CDA Public library to work in the bookstore or help with Friend’s programming
- Donate your funds by attending the Library Foundation’s fundraiser events (such as concerts or author readings), by purchasing books at the bookstore, or by donating to the Library Foundation here: cdalibrary.org/about/library-foundation
- Shop with Amazon and with every eligible purchase, AmazonSmile donates 0.5% to the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation at no cost to you! If you’re shopping from your PC: Just shop at smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com and put the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation as the charity of choice. It’s that easy! If you’re shopping from your phone: 1. Get the app – Download or update to the latest version of the Amazon Shopping app on your phone. You can find it in the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android. 2. Join AmazonSmile – If you are not already an AmazonSmile member, simply sign up at smile.amazon.com and select your favorite charity to start generating donations, at no cost to you. 3. Turn on AmazonSmile – Open the app and find ’Settings’ in the main menu (☰). Tap on ‘AmazonSmile’ and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on AmazonSmile on your phone.
