Science of the Heart (Ages 18+) – Saturdays May 3 & 17 (10:00-11:30)

REGISTRATION REQUIRED https://cdalibrary.libcal.com/calendar/events/science-heart

Join us for this special opportunity to learn about the interaction between your heart and brain and how your heart influences not only your health but also your intuition, emotions, perceptions, and performance. This class will explore the physiological state of heart rate variability and how to achieve it reliably. This state has been shown in peer-reviewed, double-blind studies to positively affect high blood pressure, anxiety, stress, and inflammation. The first class will cover the physiological effects of the practice of heart coherence and the second will cover the mental and psychological effects. Both classes will incorporate information with practice and discussion. Handouts will be provided, and participants will be encouraged to practice between classes to build proficiency and experience. Learn how to improve both your physical and psychological wellbeing; accessing your heart’s true intelligence and intuition. Registration is required. Find us upstairs in the Nelson Room.
