Lake City Public Library – operated at the high school on Ramsey Road in Coeur d’Alene – has been closed temporarily as a precaution to prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus.
Library Director Bette Ammon said the decision to suspend Lake City services was made in consultation with Coeur d’Alene School District officials. The school district yesterday also suspended all large-group activities in school facilities, including those organized by the City of Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department.
While the Lake City library branch is closed, holds placed for books and other items there can be picked up at the main library at 702 E. Front Ave.
The main library remains open for regular hours at this time, but has suspended all public programs and meeting reservations.
