PROCTORING SERVICES
The library offers free proctoring services for those needing exam proctoring for businesses and schools. Proctoring exceptions are North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State College, or the University of Idaho (unless the student is taking Independent Study courses). Students from these schools will need to go to the NIC Testing Center for proctoring.
To contact us about proctoring, please reach out to the library at 208-769-2315 x434 or fill out the form on the next tab.
After connecting with library staff, students will contact their school/institution and arrange for them to send the exam, exam password, or exam materials to the proctoring staff member. Once the staff member receives materials, the student will contact the staff member to make the appointment for testing. On the day of the exam, the staff member will set up the test or test materials, check photo ID, provide a space for students to take the test, notify students when their time limit for testing has been reached, and return tests as requested by the institution.
Staff will not proctor exams that require a staff member to watch the student take the exam from start to finish. Students will be responsible for any mailing costs. Students are required to bring a photo ID to all testing sessions. Some institutions will have other conditions the library is unable to comply with.
If the library is unable to comply with an institution’s conditions for proctoring, students are welcome to reach out to other local proctors including:
