Marjorie Chadderdon, Doug Chadderdon

Keith and Marjorie Chadderdon moved from Sydney, MT in November, 1964.

Keith started a wholesale floor covering business, traveling around the northwest. In 1973, the first Carpet Center retail store opened in downtown Coeur d’Alene.   Keith and Marjorie developed the business to include seven stores in Washington and Idaho.

In 1993 Keith passed away.  The next generation bought the business, known today as Great Floors.

Keith and Marjorie moved to Coeur d’Alene because of the beauty and the strong sense of community.  They both have always known and have raised their children to be good stewards of their hometown, Coeur d’Alene.

The entire family, and now many grandchildren, have enjoyed the reading programs and resources the Coeur d’Alene Library has offered, starting at the library’s 7th and Lakeside location.

Marjorie Chadderdon is currently serving her second term as District 4 State Representative for the State of Idaho.   And she continues to be an inspiration to her nine grandchildren.
