Milestones Lecture Series Rebooted to Oct. 22

Due to technical and personal complications the new Inland Northwest Milestones lecture series with regional historian Robert Singletary is scheduled to begin anew online on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m.
Presented by the library in partnership with the Museum of North Idaho the series focuses on the individuals who played a major role in the history of our region.
Singletary, programming and marketing director for the museum and author of “Coeur d’Alene Beautiful & Progressive,” will feature a pair of people for each program beginning Oct. 22 with Lawrence Aripa and Frederick Blackwell.
For now, the programs will stream on the YouTube channel for the City of Coeur d’Alene at 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month through July 22, 2021. (In-person programs will be offered in the future if it is deemed safe to do so by health officials.)
The only exception to this schedule will be during November and December when changes will be made to accommodate the holidays.
Following the Oct. 22 presentation, the featured figures will include: Dec. 3, Hazel Cardwell and Gen. William Carlin; Jan. 28, Perry Christianson and Stanley Easton; Feb. 25, Teresa Graham and Harley Hudson; March 25, Father Thomas Purcell and Louise Shadduck; April 22, Peter C. Sorenson and P.W. Johnson; May 27, George Thomson and Kyle Walker; June 24, Charles Warner and Joseph C. White; and July 22, George T. Williams and Marcus Wright.
