Applying for a Library Card

Library cards are available to residents with proof of address and a photo ID and to non-residents with a valid card from another library.

Non-residents without a library card must pay an annual fee of $25.

Non-residents with an outside library card must pay the annual fee of $25 for access to certain subscriptions, such as OverDrive (e-books).

Patrons under 18 must have a parent/guardian present when patron receives library card.

Replacement cards are $1.

Patrons without a permanent address can receive a temporary card, which is good only at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library, and check out up to two items.

Allow 3 working days for processing for online applications.

Online applicants must to come to the Coeur d'Alene Public Library with ID, proof of address and fees (if applicable) to pickup card.Cards will not be mailed.
