Radical Rick to Share ‘Extreme Science’

Learning science doesn’t have to be serious – especially when Radical Rick brings his “extreme” version to the Coeur d’Alene Public Library.
Rick Turner and his wacky collection of household items to demonstrate scientific principles will come to the library Community Room, 702 E. Front Ave., on Wednesday, July 31, at 1 p.m. This free program is interactive as Rick engages young volunteers from the audience to be his assistants.

The program is part of the Dig Into Reading summer program at the library continuing through Aug. 2. For information contact Youth Services at 208-769-2315 Ext. 438 or e-mail Susan Thorpe, Youth Services Supervisor, at This email address is being protected from spambots. Also on July 31, beginning at 5 p.m., teens are invited to enjoy a “Harry Potter” movie on the big screen in the Community Room. The version to be viewed will be voted on by the teens. Snacks will be provided, of course. For information contact Laura Jenkins, Young Adult Coordinator, at Ext. 469 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. Patrons who need accommodation to participate in library programs or services are asked to contact the staff prior to the activity by calling 208-769-2315.
